Sydney
Stone made her feature film debut in the indie flick In
The Flesh by Ben Taylor. Although her scene in which
she played a prostitute named Farrah didn't make it to the
final edit, (it's featured as part of the 'bonus' scences
in the DVD version), the experience helped
her land future roles in other films.
Originally
from Atlanta, Georgia, Sydney studied acting at The University
of Alabama Birmingham where she landed the lead in several
college theatre productions. She then moved back to Atlanta
where she studied at
The Alliance Theatre and The Warehouse Actor's Theatre.
It was there that she met director and
good friend Ben Taylor, who gave her that first big
break.
While in Atlanta , Sydney was cast in several leading theatrical roles including "Meg" in Crimes of the Heart, "Laura" in The Unexpected Guest, "Randi" in Greetings, and "Mindy" in Alan Ball's Five Women Wearing the Same Dress.
